In La Diable sector, 55 km of classic ski trails are marked and mechanically groomed. The trails are spread over 7 circuits, ranging from easy to very difficult. You can take a break at one of the 5 warming huts to have a snack or to warm up.

Skiing equipment rental is available available at Discovery Centre. Last rental at 2 p.m. Equipment rental is not refundable or modifiable.

Season pass

A season pass for a single cross-country ski centre (seven days or five days) is available for skiers. The network season pass (seven days) which gives access to all Sépaq's cross-country ski centres is also be available.

Access to the cross-country skiing trails is free for customers staying at Sépaq-network cross-country skiing centres. Present yourself at the Discovery and Visitors Centre to get your ski tickets. Tickets valid on your day of arrival, throughout your stay and on your day of departure. Tickets may only be used at the establishment at which you are staying.

A season conducive to meditation and reverie, winter in all its splendour is on display at Parc national du Mont-Tremblant. Strap on your snowshoes and come hike 48 km of trails in our two winter sectors: de la Diable and Pimbina-Saint-Donat. There are trails for all tastes for the whole family to enjoy.

You can go snowshoeing on several trails in de La Diable sector (26 km). Lac-des-Femmes, de la Roche, de la Coulée, and de la Corniche trails will delight the entire family and some of them lead to breathtaking lookouts. Two of our trails lead to huts: Malard trail (shared with skiers for 3.3 km uphill) which leads to Ouache hut, and Ruisselets trail, which takes you to de la Hutte hut (5.3 km). For more experienced snowshoers, Boucle du Centenaire and Toit-des-Laurentides trails will offer a terrific view… and a terrific workout too!

More than 25 km of snowshoeing trails await you in Pimbina-Saint-Donat sector, including the famous L’Envol trail leading to Chutes-aux-Rats, the waterfall jewel of the region. You’ll be dazzled by the views from L’Envol and Mont-des-Cascades. Two of our trails lead to huts, namely du Geai-bleu and le Lariou.

Snowshoes rental is available at the Discovery Centre and Pimbina-Saint-Donat Visitors Center.

There is an impressive network of backcountry skiing trails in our two winter sectors. More than 80 km of untracked trails are accessible to hors-piste skiing enthusiasts over long distances in a wild and remote setting. Several huts with a capacity of 2 to 12 people are accessible, such as le Liteau and la Cache huts in de la Diable sector, as well as le Lariou and du Geai-Bleu huts in Pimbina-Saint-Donat sector.

Québec National Trail

The Québec National Trail is the longest nature trail in Québec dedicated to hiking, snowshoeing, and backcountry skiing, as it crosses nine tourist regions of the province, including the Laurentides region. Two circuits are available within Parc national du Mont-Tremblant to enable hiking in the summer and off-piste skiing in the winter.

Get yourself bundled up for the cold and go for a walk on the groomed trail running from the Discovery Centre to Lac Lauzon. This superb circuit runs by the camping areas on the east shore of Lac Monroe (6 km round trip).

A small snow tubing slope has been set up close to the Discovery Centre in La Diable sector.

Enjoy a smooth ride on a fatbike! You’ll be impressed by their ideal traction on snowy surfaces.

La Pimbina sector

Offering a 9.4 km return journey, the multi-purpose Chute-aux-Rats trail will give you access to the major attraction of La Pimbina sector, an icy 17.4 m waterfall.

Fatbikes are not available for rent in the park.

In order to make its trails accessible to persons with reduced mobility, Parc national du Mont-Tremblant has acquired outdoor equipment for persons with reduced mobility. The equipment can be rented free of charge in the Pimbina sector upon presentation of the CAL card and upon availability. For a rental in the Diable sector, contact us at least 72 hours in advance at 819-688-2281, ext. 0.

• Ski-Vel: equipment on which a wheelchair (not included) can be mounted to allow access to snow walking trails (available in winter).

The backcountry sector of Parc national du Mont-Tremblant gives visitors access to the conservation area with its large lakes and the Sac-à-Commis stream. Developed by the forestry industry until the early 1990s, this sector contains a labyrinth of old roads, which nature is gradually taking back. The forests here are young. Maples cap the summits, but aspen, white birch, pin cherry and balsam fir predominate.

Summer

The backcountry sector offers 171 km2 of forests, lakes, waterways and hills to explore. It is a vast plateau with an average altitude of 450 m, the summits peaking at 500 m. The lakes here are generally large, shallow, and warm in the summer.

Four parking lots, P1 and P2 on Route 28 (accessible from mid-May until Thanksgiving) as well as P3 and P4 on Route 22 (accessible from October 1 until Thanksgiving) serve as starting points. You will experience a forest experience in a wild context, without trail. Bivouac sites are rare. Rivers, wetlands and beaver dams sometimes make progress difficult.

In the north, Rivière Matawin gives you access to the water at the mouth of Lac Vaga. This lake’s sandy shores are a great place to camp before heading out for an adventure.

Remnants of old forest roads and waterways are the most popular travel routes. However, visitors are also authorized to travel through the forest wilderness according to the Leave No Trace This link will open in a new window. principles.

Hiking is a very popular activity on our territory. From a short walk to a more athletic hike, our vast network of trails will show you the real wilderness of the Laurentides and Lanaudière regions. For backpackers, the network has over 82 km of trails with 10 relays.

Québec National Trail

The Québec National Trail is the longest nature trail in Québec dedicated to hiking, snowshoeing, and backcountry skiing, as it crosses nine tourist regions of the province, including the Laurentides region. Since 2022, 69.3 km of the National Trail crosses the park to enable hiking in the summer and off-piste skiing in the winter.

Via Ferrata du Diable is much more than just a hike. It’s a thrilling and safe experience that will allow you to venture onto the rock face of the Vache Noire, at the entrance to De la Diable sector. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced climber, you’ll be supervised by a professional guide who will provide you with support all along the circuit.

At an altitude of 200 metres, you’ll overcome challenges such as beams, rope bridges, and suspended walkways over Rivière du Diable, offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

With a maximum of eight people per group, you’ll enjoy an exclusive experience and personalized attention from your guide. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at the heart of the wilderness of Parc national du Mont-Tremblant.

Explore the park’s many lakes and rivers aboard one of our rental canoes. Oars, life jackets and boating safety kits are included with each canoe rental. You can rent a boat at one of our nine rental centres in the following locations: Lac Monroe Visitors Centre, La Crémaillère beach, Lac-Escalier campground, Lac-des-Sables campground, Lac-Provost rental Centre, L’Assomption Visitors Centre, Grand-Pin campground and La Cachée Visitors Centre.

Why not take the time to participate in the Winding Diable activity? A fairly easy 4-hour descent on the calm waters of Rivière du Diable, enjoying its twists and turns. Transportation is included.

NEW! Les Méandres de la Diable guided by a park warden naturalist

Explore a calm, winding section of the Diable, the park's largest river, by canoe. Along the way, a park warden will guide your observations and share his knowledge with you. Reservations required.

You can also take part in a destination or river canoe-camping expedition.

Technical advices before going canoeing (see the video)

You’ll love the tapered profile of this popular vessel. It’s fast-moving, easy to handle and performs as well on either lakes or rivers. Our fleet of kayaks is renewed regularly to offer quality, comfort and stability. Oars, life jackets and boating safety kits are included with each kayak rental. You’ll have the choice between solo or tandem kayaks.

You can also participate in the Winding Diable activity in a solo or tandem kayak!

Create lasting memories at the Crémaillère (Diable sector) and Lac-Provost (Pimbina-Saint-Donat sector) beaches. Perfect places to relax, have a snack or a barbecue and play in the sand.

Free bikes for the children

Free bike loans for children of 17 years of age and under in a family situation. Limited quantities. First come, first served basis.

L'Assomption sector in Saint-Côme is a vast wild country and an ideal place for fishing enthusiasts. The most common species are speckled trout (brook trout) and northern pike. Some bodies of water also have lake trout (lake char).

To prevent the introduction of water-milfoil, the use of personal rowboats has been prohibited. Only personal canoes or kayaks will be allowed. Like gas motors, electric motors have been prohibited since 2022 on the vast majority of the lakes, except in day fishing situations with reservations, fishing with accommodations or counter reservations.

What could be more easy and relaxing than pedaling along one of our lakes at your own pace with family or friends? This very stable vessel will delight navigators of all ages. Our rental centres have pedal boats or two or four people.

Did you know that Parc national du Mont-Tremblant, a huge natural and protected area of 1,510 km² shelters:

• 45 mammal species
• 206 bird species
• 39 fish species
• 14 amphibian species
• 7 reptile species
• 6 rivers, 4 of which are bordering
• Over 400 lakes

Moose, white-tailed deer, black bear, beaver, Eastern wolf, red fox, red squirrel and river otter are among the most common mammals here. The presence of wolves, a large predator and the emblem of the park, reflects the untamed nature of the area, its immensity and the abundance of prey. The most characteristic birds of the park highlight its forest character and the importance of the river system: Common Merganser, Common Loon, Great Blue Heron, a variety of woodpecker species, flycatchers, thrushes and Preacher Birds, along with over 20 species of warblers. The introduction of live bait fish by anglers and the experimental seeding of the 1950s explain the presence of over 30 fish species. Speckled trout and the northern pike, two native species, always make anglers very happy. The song of American toads, spring peepers, green frogs and northern frogs are familiar tunes. The garter snake is the only reptile seen on a regular basis and we are always on the lookout for the egg-laying sites of the three turtle species.

As for plant and animal life, rare and sensitive to human presence species are being monitored. These species remind us of the importance of working hard to protect biodiversity and the development of this park, which we invite you to visit year-round.

Take advantage of the hot summer days to discover Lac Monroe and stand up surfing. Hawaiian in origin, stand up paddle surfing is an activity that combines surfing and kayaking. The board, designed for calm water, is bigger (longer, wider and thicker) and therefore more stable than the traditional surfboard designed for waves. Test your balance standing on a big surfboard, with paddle in hand. Quick and easy to learn and guaranteed fun!

Venez assister à cette journée spéciale pour toute la famille. Une équipe du Club de ski de fond Tremblant Nordique sera sur place toute la journée pour vous offrir une clinique en avant-midi afin d’apprendre les bonnes techniques de base pour l’entretien et le fartage de ses skis. Par la suite, en après-midi, une sortie d'initiation et ou de perfectionnement en ski classique sera organisée avec les instructeurs qualifiés du club. Les groupes seront divisés selon leur niveau.

Embarquez-vous dans cette aventure et venez explorer le lac de L'Assomption avec un garde-parc naturaliste. Cette excursion en canot sur l’un des plus beaux lacs du parc vous réserve de surprenantes découvertes! Les enfants de moins de 15 ans doivent être jumelés dans le canot avec un adulte. Les enfants de moins de 6 ans n’ont pas d’aviron et sont assis au fond du canot, au centre.
